Echoes of Purity is a collaborative dance and sound work by Sammy Hammat and Jasa. It was commissioned by the Dance Architect Prize in 2018 and performed in 2019 at Transit Dance.
This work explored the question; "what is at the core of human existence?"
Echoes of Purity uses only the sound of the saxophone. Canonic structures are used to build the work in time. The saxophone is symbolic of the human element whilst the processing of the horn alters and distorts this.
